The Health Protection Agency's core business areas are research and development of vaccines against infectious diseases, diagnosis and assay development, plus process development and GMP manufacture of biologics. In addition, a wide range of support services are offered from biosafety, through GLP immunoassay testing to in-vivo studies. Other key capabilities include radiation and chemical protection services as well as training, consultancy and emergency response.
