The BioWales 2008 event is in association with the following organisations:
The Wales Innovation Relay Centre (WIRC) is the Welsh arm of the European-wide IRC network, created to stimulate transnational technology transfer and promote innovative services. Hosted and part-funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, it forms part of the Technology and Innovation group of the Department of Economy and Transport and works closely with regional business development managers in other key areas.
International business Wales is part of the Welsh Assembly Government, helping businesses all over the world access the big opportunities available in our small, welcoming country.
The Welsh Assembly Government is responsible for most of the issues of day-to-day concern to the people of Wales, including the economy, health, education, and local government.
The role of the Welsh Assembly Government is to exercise functions devolved to it in order to: make decisions on matters which affect people’s daily lives; develop and implement policy; make subordinate legislation (eg regulations and statutory guidance) and propose Assembly Measures (Welsh laws).
