The BioWales 2010 event is in association with the following organisations:
The Enterprise Europe Network in Wales works with Welsh companies, universities and research centres to facilitate technology transfer and to exploit new research and innovation. The network helps companies to explore ways in which their products and processes can be improved by adopting new and emerging technologies. The service also provides support to clients in securing R&D funding from the UK and also European sources.
The Welsh network also assists companies in identifying potential commercial partners, across Europe and beyond; advises small businesses on technical issues such as intellectual property rights, standards and EU legislation; acts as a two way street between entrepreneurs and EU decision-makers, relaying views in both directions. The role of the Welsh Assembly Government is to exercise functions devolved to it in order to: make decisions on matters which affect people’s daily lives; develop and implement policy; make subordinate legislation (eg regulations and statutory guidance) and propose Assembly Measures (Welsh laws).
